When it comes to juices, pomegranate juice and red and black currant juice are the best options. However, you should not drink more than a glass of pomegranate juice daily since it can lead to stomach problems. This juice has an astringent action and can be used for saturation of compresses to be applied on the affected area. Red and black currant juice on the other hand, contains rutin and minerals which are very excellent in warding off the development of hemorrhoids. Currant juices will lessen the swelling and pain in the hemorrhoidal veins if taken 2 or 3 glasses a day.
