Avoiding a sedentary lifestyle by doing exercises can help in hemorrhoid relief Literally, hemorrhoids are a pain in the butt and could actually pose a serious health problem. This type of condition exists and affects an approximate of 40 percent of adults. Hemorrhoids are usually caused by excessive straining while doing bowel movements. Other possible causes include aging, pregnancy, constipation and diarrhea. You can easily treat hemorrhoids with dietary and lifestyle modifications.

Exercises are known to improve one’s health and well-being and many recommends that it should be adopted as part of the treatment in relieving hemorrhoids. It is a proven and tested fact that exercise can provide the needed hemorrhoid relief for longer terms. Proper exercise helps improve circulation in the body and maintain a healthy body weight hence reducing the pressure and stress on the veins associated with hemorrhoids. However, many hemorrhoid sufferers do not engage themselves in activities which lead to a sedentary lifestyle. When we say exercise, this does not mean the heavy workouts. You can always start with light exercises and gradually increase the intensity.

The best way of starting your hemorrhoid exercise is a simple walk for about 10-15 minutes every morning. You can even take breaks in between work and move around while inside the office. By doing this, it will surely improve your blood circulation. The improved blood circulation in your body will result in a better supply of oxygen. Mobility is also a huge help in digestion and proper bowel movements.

If you are already used to the simple brisk walk, you can now try to increase the time duration. Aside from walking, you can also try more intense exercise such as climbing the stairs at least twice a day. This will make you a bit tired and will help you sweat more. With these exercises, you can also avoid other health problems such as obesity and heart related diseases.

Statistics also show that most hemorrhoid sufferers are those who sit in the same position for long hours. If you are also doing a desk job, then it is important to take a break after every one hour and move around a bit. Moving around will lessen the blood pressure and the swelling of the blood vessels. Reduction in swelling is a great hemorrhoid relief.

And lastly, stretching exercises will strengthen the muscles in the abdomen and rectum area. These are beneficial in relieving the symptoms associated with hemorrhoids. To do this, you need to sit in a comfortable position with your back straight. Exhale forcefully in order to suck your stomach muscles. Then inhale slowly and repeat the forceful exhale process. You can do this exercise for 10-15 minutes every morning. It is also ideal that you perform this exercise when your stomach is empty or 3-4 hours after meal. This will be a huge help in strengthening the veins and muscles in the rectum area and provide hemorrhoid relief. If you want to be healthy, avoid sedentary lifestyle.
