Differentiating Hemorrhoids Symptoms from Colon Cancer

Published by admin under Health Information

Hemorrhoids do have similar symptoms with colon cancer Cancer is considered as one of the many dreaded diseases that should be diagnosed at an early stage to effectively treat the condition. However, most of the times people only noticed that they have cancer when it is already at a later stage. This is usually fatal and requires complex treatment. Cancer will usually lead to deaths for people who has a weak immune system and older. Colon cancer is an example. It is commonly diagnosed when it is already chronic.

The main reason why colon cancer is not treated at an early stage is the confusion that the symptoms felt by the person is blamed to hemorrhoids. These two health conditions do have similar symptoms like bleeding and pain. Most of the times, an individual will not suspect that it is caused by a more serious health problem thus only resort to self medications or purchasing over the counter medicines to treat the symptoms.

Understanding the different and similar symptoms of hemorrhoids and colon cancer will help you avoid complications and other health risks as a result of wrong treatment. Some symptoms of these two ailments respond well to OTC drugs and it will go away after treatment. However, the underlying cause of the problem is still there if it is colon cancer since it needs other forms of treatment.

Let us enumerate the similarities of the two conditions. If you have colon cancer, one of the symptoms that you will encounter is rectal bleeding. Hemorrhoid sufferers also encounter this symptom usually after a bowel movement. Blood in stool is commonly blamed to constipation and too much straining when passing stool. An irritated rectum or itching is not only caused by hemorrhoids but it can be caused by other conditions like colon cancer.

The urge to go to the bathroom even after a bowel movement can happen to people who are suffering from colon cancer and internal hemorrhoids. Chronic internal hemorrhoids which developed at the end of the large intestines will show these symptoms. If you are frequently constipated, it is more likely that you have a problem in your colon. However, constipation is also associated to hemorrhoids.

A person who was diagnosed earlier with hemorrhoids will not suspect that he has a colon cancer. So a careful examination of all the symptoms felt should be done. Much better if it is done by a health care professional. Specific symptoms which are caused by colon cancer are changes in stool color and shape, increase in gas, and experiences a very persistent pain in the abdominal area. Once you have these symptoms, there is a higher percentage that you are already having rectal cancer.

Anything abnormal in the body should be an immediate concern for every person. Whether it is a hemorrhoid or other colo-rectal diseases, mild or chronic, always seek for medical attention for proper diagnosis.

Aromatherapy Not Just Relaxes the Mind and Body But Also Treat Hemorrhoids

Published by admin under Health Information

Using aromatherapy to treat the symptoms of your hemorrhoids When stressed and you need to pamper yourself for relaxation, aromatherapy is one of the first things that pops in your mind. But did you know that aromatherapy is more than just that, it is also growing in popularity as an excellent method for treating hemorrhoids. However it does not mean that once you sniff a particular scent your condition will be cured in an instant.

The essential oils used in aromatherapy are medications and just like others, it may also be composed of different chemical compounds and potentially dangerous. When we hear about essential oils, we instantly think that they are actually oils. But they are not. They are actually concentrated liquids that are extracted from plants through different means such as simmering, steaming, and condensation. And because of these methods, it generally takes quite a bit of plant matter to equal a proportionally small amount of essential oils. And due to their concentration level, essential oils must never be taken by mouth without the supervision of a qualified herbalist who is familiar specifically with aromatherapy.

Essential oils used in aromatherapy are also volatile hence the active and medicinal chemicals in them evaporate quickly once exposed to air. So, essential oils are kept in closed and dark glass bottles in pure form until right before they are to be used.

With the use of essential oils, two different ways are used to treat hemorrhoids and these can be used together. The first method includes a shallow bath of hot water. It should be done in a bathtub, as the dosages given are not for a sitz bath that fits over the toilet. Sprinkle twenty drops of lavender and another twenty drops of juniper essential oils. Mix it with water with your hand to be sure that it is properly mixed and soak for at least twenty minutes.

Another method needs a carrier oil of some kind. The most popular carrier oil for aromatherapy is sweet almond oil but there is also the apricot oil that can work as effective as the former. The vegetable oil that is used for baking can also work but this is only an alternative since it is practically guaranteed to have some impurities. Blend two drops of lavender and another drop of geranium oil with one ounce of carrier oil. After that, you can now apply it to the affected area like an ointment.

But before you start using essential oils in treating your hemorrhoids, you need to test first yourself for allergies by diluting one drop in a small amount of carrier oil and dabbing it on the inside of your elbow. Leave it for 24 hours and check for a reaction. You have to know first whether you are allergic or not so as to avoid skin reactions during the treatment.

Given these cautions, however, aromatherapy has provided excellent benefits to hemorrhoid sufferers. With the combination of diet and lifestyle change, this method would help you shrink your hemorrhoids and get rid of all its symptoms.

Digestive Enzymes are Good for Hemorrhoids

Published by admin under Health Information

Digestive enzymes like bromelain are known to cure hemorrhoid symptoms Hemorrhoid sufferers who are looking for effective treatment should try using digestive enzymes. With this, it will help you lessen the inflammation of your condition. Digestive enzymes are also known to reduce fibrin and clean the blood of foreign particles. These enzyme activities will strengthen the body’s immune system and provide more power to work on your hemorrhoids.

One of the famous digestive enzymes is the one found in pineapples which is called bromelain. It has the capability of reducing the inflammation and swelling. This will definitely say goodbye to the painful symptom of hemorrhoids. Aside from this, bromelain also activates a chemical that can promote the breakdown of fibrin, a chemical that repairs open wounds, internal wounds and weak tissue by producing fibrin deposits. To those whose age is above 30, the fibrin is no longer balanced with the body’s enzyme. This would therefore lead to excess fibrin deposits at inflamed locations, eventually causing more sickness and disease.

In order to balance and control the excess fibrin activity in the body, taking digestive or systemic enzymes is an excellent idea. These systemic enzymes will work throughout the body to attack blood impurities and dissolve fibrin. As a supplement, you can take 500-750 mg daily. You can also opt to add fresh pineapple to your diet since it is high in fiber and other nutrients.

Other benefit of digestive enzyme to your body is it helps to digest your food and improve assimilation. The systemic enzymes on the other hand, are found deep in the body. They are located in your tissues, organs, and cells where they can help in different chemical reactions that happen in the body.

Both digestive and systemic enzymes are available in capsules so you can easily include them in your diet. The digestive enzyme will also lessen the stress in the rectum when your food is not properly digested. As we all know, undigested food can eventually lead to constipation. Digestive enzymes are found at different health food stores. Take two capsules of this supplement with each meal.

Systemic enzymes, like digestive enzymes, also lessen swelling, inflammation, improve circulation, and hasten the healing of tissue. This enzyme can also eliminate fibrin, which is at center of most inflammatory conditions and illness. Take systemic enzymes between meals so they can reach the small intestine and get absorbed into the blood stream where they can perform their work.

Some systemic enzymes are enteric enzymes. In other words, they are coated so they will not dissolve in the stomach. With this, it will allow them to move into the small intestine where they will be absorbed in the blood stream. There are some systemic enzymes that contain serrapeptase. This is also a systemic enzyme that mix with other nutrients. To help cure your hemorrhoids, make it sure that you include in your diet an ample amount of these enzymes which are found in most fruits and vegetables.
