Doing heavy lifting can worsen your hemorrhoid condition Anyone can be victims of hemorrhoids. This particular condition is due to the straining during bowel movements. There are also cases when hemorrhoids can be attributed to repetitive heavy lifting and straining during lifting. You can be a prone victim of hemorrhoid if you are not used to hard physical labor and the sudden increase in physical activity like moving large objects or heavy lifting can be the immediate cause of this dreaded condition.

We say dreaded because hemorrhoids may usually lead to painful and uncomfortable symptoms. There are however cases when the condition will just subside by itself in a matter of days as long as its causes are not regularly done or are totally done away with.

Heavy lifting and other strenuous physical activities have a direct link to hemorrhoids. So you have to be careful if you have jobs that require heavy lifting. It is important that hemorrhoid sufferers recognize their condition and do all measures in order to alleviate the symptoms and prevent the hemorrhoid condition to worsen or flare-up.

Constant heavy lifting or holding the breath when lifting heavy objects can be one of the primary causes of sudden increase of pressure in the blood vessels. Hemorrhoids occur due to the increased intra-abdominal pressure. This increased pressure is just like straining when passing stool and the said pressure prevents the flow of blood through the veins causing them to swell.

However, lifting heavy objects are sometimes unavoidable and we have to experience doing it at some point in our lives. So if you think that your hemroid condition is caused by this strenuous activity, it is time that you slow down and prevent the regular lifting of heavy objects so as not to aggravate the condition. When lifting, you are pulling all the forces of gravity down towards the anus. This is the usual process that we need, so as to acquire the needed power to lift heavy objects.

The right way to lift is you avoid as much as possible the gravity pressure to prevent hemorrhoids. However, heavy lifting also has its benefits. In a recent study, it was found that heavy lifting can lower blood pressure, combat diabetes, and strengthen the bones. But it can still be considered lethal especially to those who have an aortic aneurysm, a bulge in the primary artery.

Going back to hemorrhoids and heavy lifting, the aggravation of the condition can sometimes lead to hemorrhoid bleeding or more swelling. There are also times that you will notice that the hemorrhoid is already protruding. It is therefore advisable that you avoid constant heavy lifting to prevent hemorrhoids or prevent its aggravation.
