How To Treat External Hemorrhoids Fast with Home Remedies
There are two types of hemorrhoids, internal and external. Regardless of its location in the anal area, both conditions should be given immediate and proper treatment. Both types can sometimes cause similar symptoms such as pain, itching, and swelling. Many hemorrhoids sufferers experience bleeding if no appropriate treatment is given. But a word of caution, not all available treatments can be used for both types of hemorrhoids. There are specific medications for internal and external hemorrhoids.
When it comes to home remedies for external hemorrhoids, herbal medications are popular. Other natural methods can also be used such as warm and cold sitz baths. This can effectively reduce swelling and pain. You can do this procedure at home 2 to 3 times daily until the symptoms are gone. Every session is approximately 5 to 10 minutes, so you have to be a little bit patient in doing this procedure. Ice packs are also a good alternative.
Herbal medications are widely available. You can grow these herbs at your backyard or purchase it from health stores. If you have external hemorrhoids, make these herbs into a poultice, concoctions, salves, or creams and ointments. These are directly applied to the affected area by using cotton balls or pads.
The first in the list of herbal home remedies is the aloe vera. Extract the aloe vera gel from the leaves of the aloe plant and directly apply to the area. You can also combine it with essential oils like lavender to make it more effective. It relieves pain and soothes the burning sensation. Witch hazel extracts also function as an anti-inflammatory. There are ready made extracts which can be purchased at pharmacies and health stores so you don’t have to worry finding this herb and preparing it into useful herbal medication. With the use of a sterile cotton pad, apply witch hazel to the inflamed tissues at least 3 times a day.
You can also mix cumin seeds powder with water to form a thick paste and apply the mixture to the anal area. This can help in reducing pain. White radish is also a valuable treatment for external hemorrhoids. This can be taken orally by mixing with a teaspoon of honey at least 2 times daily. Finely ground white radish can be made into a paste by combining with a portion of milk. Once applied into the external hemorrhoids, pain will be reduced significantly.
Treating your external hemorrhoids should not be a major problem. As long as you know the appropriate treatment, all the symptoms associated with the condition will disappear faster as compared to other methods of treatment. Home remedies are also cheaper compared to synthetically prepared medications.
